The main function of PE hot melt is to connect pipes such as PE water pipes and gas pipes. This technology must be completed by special equipment, and also has a complete set of operation steps. The first is to select the appropriate clamp fixture according to the welded pipe and fittings, and clamp the pipe to prepare for cutting.


Secondly, the welded pipe section, the end face impurities and the oxide layer of the pipe are cut to ensure that the butt end faces of the two pipes are smooth, smooth and free from impurities. The end faces of the two welded pipes should be completely centered, and the smaller the wrong side, the better. The wrong side cannot exceed 10% of the wall thickness, which will affect the quality of the docking.


In the hot melt process of PE, the docking temperature is generally between 210-230 °C, and the heating time of the heating plate is different in winter and summer, and the melting length of the both ends is preferably 1-2 mm. The heating plate is removed, and the two hot melt end faces are quickly adhered and pressurized. To ensure the welding quality, the switching period is as short as possible.


Hot-melt butt joint is the key to welding. The docking process should always be carried out under the melt pressure. The width of the crimping should be 2-4mm. Cooling keeps the docking pressure constant, allowing the interface to cool slowly. The length of the cooling time is hard to touch the curling of the hand, and the heat is not felt.
